Menorca is situated in the group of Spanish Islands in the Mediterranean known as the Balearic Islands and is sometimes referred to as Minorca.
The island has a population of approximately 82,000 and is a lot quieter and relaxed than its nearby islands Majorca and Ibiza but somewhat busier than Formentera the smallest island in the group.
